Hong Kong ETFs
According to Farside data, the digital asset exchange-traded funds (ETFs) market in Hong Kong (HK) experienced a divergence in flows on May 8. While Bitcoin (BTC) ETFs saw overall inflows, Ethereum (ETH) ETFs saw outflows.
Farside data shows that the BTC ETFs in HK attracted a combined inflow of $6.3 million on May 8. Bosera’s BTC ETF led the way with a $6.2 million inflow, bringing its total net inflows to $15.8 million. AMC’s BTC ETF saw a $0.1 million inflow, totaling $3.6 million in net inflows. Harvest’s BTC ETF did not register any inflow or outflow on the day, but its total net inflow is $6.5 million. Collectively, the BTC ETFs in HK have amassed $25.9 million in total net inflows.
In contrast, the ETH ETFs in HK faced outflows on May 8. Bosera’s ETH ETF saw an outflow of $0.9 million, bringing its total net inflows to $8.1 million. AMC’s ETH ETF experienced an outflow of $0.8 million, totaling $2.2 million in net outflows. Harvest’s ETH ETF recorded a $0.2 million outflow, taking its total net outflow to $0.2 million. According to Farside data, the ETH ETFs in HK have seen a net inflow of $5.7 million.
Farside data indicates that the collective net inflows into BTC and ETH ETFs in HK have reached $31.6 million.
US ETFs
On May 8, activity was relatively subdued in the United States. Bitwise’s BITB ETF was the only one to register an inflow of $11.5 million, bringing its total net inflow to $1,759.6 billion. All other US ETFs saw no inflows or outflows. According to Farside data, the total net inflows for US ETFs stand at $11,778.2 billion.
